I used to have social anxiety as well. and w/ time and with age I became comfortable in my own skin and confident that I matter and I am worth it!!!! and the most important thing I've come to learn is the people that I was so afriad of being Judged by...are more of a mess that I ever was. Things aren't always what they seem and neither are people. You need to know hold your chin up and be yourself.
Good Luck!

Recognize that this is anxiety, and if you feel it is affecting your life {and it sounds like it is}, it is at the disorder stage. An excellent workbook is by Edmund J. Bourne, Phd, The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook {amazon}, it will change your life forever. In addition go to the Nightengale-Conant website and check out the Luanne Oakes tapes, they are Sound Health Sound Wealth and just incredible to listen to. Trust me, these two sources compliment each other and will completely change your life!

I love talking to people on this problem, i had this so bad in freshman year. Im a rather larger girl and I was so afraid than people were turned off by the way I look. But whats so funny to see is that if your actually look relatively normal then people won't even look at you, think about it, do you randomly hardcore judge a random person. The trick is to watch their eyes and see if they go up and down your body, you'll find most don't. Now if your talking about a social life then your probably a little too shy hmm? Well, the best way to get over that (in my opinion, which isn't professional) is to go into a fun enviroment where you can loosen up and express yourself.

Dont worrie about being Judged, everyone does it but no one really pays attition. If it bothers you this much you might want to see a dr. However its normal human action to judge however most are not crule or rude about it, also for you getting it out of your head just know it happens everyday and if someone dident like you your something about you chnaces are you could tell or they would let you know

just relax im sure you are a great person

Get comfortable in a recliner. Light up a good five dollar cigar and smoke it while sipping a glass of ice cold pale ale or beer. Meanwhile just think of peasant things and block any recollection and sound of criticism and other's opinions. Don't say anything.

That's the way I do it!

Good luck with your reveries, good mental health, peace and Love!
