Yes, I can totally totally totally understand what you are going through. I have been through the feeling of not having enough time in the past years, due to exhaustion from having to also take care of my kids and in my work. Because of the stress, I suffered from extreme mood swings.

I am glad to share that I have found the exact blueprint to recovery. Here goes....

An inability to cope can have its roots in low confidence and self esteem issues. If this is the case, use EFT (emotional freedom technique) to deal with your negative emotions.

Then, list down your tasks and tell yourself to focus on the top few priorities. Don't be too hard on yourself if you cannot complete everything in a day. Know that you have at least done what needs to be done in terms of priority.

Join a support network. Check whether there are any in your locality.

Schedule breaks for yourself. During this break, go for massages, watch movies, go to the beach, etc. You must learn to take care and nurture yourself. Don't view this time as "wasted" and not necessary. It is important that you find time to reconnect with yourself.

Also apportion quiet time. Meditate or simply be still for 20 minutes. Don't let your mind wander. Instead, practise some focus concentration. This will help stablize your mood swings and help you gain some peace.

Go on self help sites to get the boost of positive energy. Sign up to their newsletters so that you are constantly reminded about being positive. One helpful site that contains info on self esteem, motivation and positive affirmations is http://www.attractionmindmap.com

From one mom to another, I know you CAN!

Find something (anything) you enjoy and set aside some time toward that everyday without any exceptions (there will be some crying and whining but trust me, no exceptions) If you get into a bad mood it is going to have a domino effect all the way through the house. Cherish the children while they're young because it is going to get even more demanding on you when they get older. Start now so you have the routine and stick to the routine and everyone else can work around your schedule.

This is really mostly part of normal life. And the older they get the more there will be. There is never anytime that something isn't affecting our lives and not letting us have a real break to breathe and sit back and enjoy for while.
Speaking with a counselor may help you figure out how to deal with it better and the Dr. could also give you some anti anxiety medicine. You might want to consider these thoughts. I have to take the anti anxiety myself, things keep my nerves going up so bad, there is always something that feels too much. Some of the words like (hopeless) really make me think you should visit a counselor.====

See stress treatments, at *ezy-build, below on page 42. Practise daily, one of the relaxation techniques on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i; whichever works best for you, but the mindfulness breathing for 15 - 20 mns is ideal, although the progressive muscle relaxation can be learned quickly, and takes only several minutes, if pressed for time. Employ the EFT version for use in public, for which you can reasonably claim that you have a headache, as you massage/tap your temples. Section 53, and pages 2, 2.q and 2.o refer. "Even though I sometimes suffer from stress, I deeply and completely accept myself". You can also multitask, using the gazing technique, as you walk/jog or exercise, by focusing on a distant object, noting any thoughts which flash across your mind, without pursuing any particular train of thought, just gently redirect your focus to the gazing. Take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily, replacing 2 of them with cod liver oil supplements, or a teaspoonful of the oil (I spread mine on toast, and mask its strong taste with fishpaste, and pepper), in the winter months only, and eat healthily, in accordance with your "nutritional type" as determined at http://www.mercola.com/ SEARCHBAR. * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris Also see section 26 (get organised/flylady), and take the quiz in section 10, in case you have a form of bipolar disorder: BIPOLAR DISORDER. See bipolar disorder, at ezy-build * (below) in section 10, and take the quiz, if unsure, and if the results are positive, ensure you get an expert diagnosis from a mental health professional, not doctors, who are much better dealing with physical ailments, and don't diagnose complex disorders like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and borderline personality disorder often enough to develop any real expertise. Bipolar disorder usually involves major moodswings, which occur without apparent cause, and often over many months, or a matter of years, rather than days, as with most people (unless rapid cycling). I'd take 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements daily, replacing 2 of them with cod liver oil supplements in the winter months. If you decide to use allopathic (modern Western) medicine, I recommend trying Lithium Carbonate, or Lithium Citrate (regular tests are necessary, for these), before trying the other mood stabilisers, but if you aren't good at taking medications regularly, drinking adequate water, and keeping up your salt intake, something else may suit you better. Always check out anything first at http://www.drugs.com/, so you will be aware of the risks, and on the lookout for side effects. (Personally, if I wasn't bipolar type 1, and didn't experience hallucinations, or serious delusional states, I know I'd first try the orthomolecular and Omega 3 fish oil supplements, vitamins, minerals, and mostly raw food diet, for several months. I'd aso eat in accordance with my "nutritional type". Enter that term in the searchbar at http://www.mercola.com/ ). If not considerably improved, after several months, consult your primary mental health care provider. If bipolar type 1, an antipsychotic medication may also be needed. Everyone should take the Omega 3 supplements, or preferably "krill oil" for its other health benefits: use the searchbar at http://www.mercola.com/ . Some people refuse medication, using supplements, and a selective, mostly raw food diet (I do not recommended trying this, if bipolar 1, unless you aren't troubled by hallucinations, or delusional states). Maintain the treatments for the depressive phase, in section 2, at * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris
