How do you (if at all) answer a ? from a person who says they want to kill thems!

I have seen ?'s like that b4 & some people are SO mean. They may or may not be serious; we don't know. Having worked in the mental health industry I take it seriously whereas some a-holes say "do it". Those ppl are JERKS!

KC I agree with you 100% how can someone be so cruel to tell a depressed and suicidal person that they should kill themselves. What if the person asking is serious and someone tells them they should do it so the person does go ahead and kill themself.. How can you live with that? No one would tell their suicidal friend or family member to go ahead and die! I don't get some people on here! Grow a heart and be compassionate. If you just have something hateful and cruel to say then just don't answer the question..
I think people need to be careful when responding to those types of questions. The wrong thing could trigger that person to actually go through with it.

Speaking of mean people, I just saw one of your other questions where you say "those illegals wont use them". Your a big "jerk" yourself too.
They are not being mean. They just are fed up with losers who keep harping and moping despite many avenues for them. We cant help those losers if they do not want to help themselves.
try to be a friend to them and give them hope for living tell them it just wont hurt them but theones left behind to live with the after affect and to clean up any mess that they may leave if they realy hurt them selves in a bad way get them to a doct or a hospital ect. ect. hope this helps the person that u are talk ing about good luck and GOD bless you for carring
The only way to answer this kind of question would be in a supportive and caring way.
If someone is not sure what to say, it is probably better not to answer the question and hope that others can somehow help the person.
I Know, I hate it when people say that. They need to grow up and get a hobby instead of picking on people they don't even know.
