Should I tell my therapist this?!

Question: I've been in and out of therapy for about three years now and I've finally stuck with my current therapist, I trust her. I'm attending therapy for a self mutilation addiction and a social phobia problem. But lately I've been throwing my food up after I've eaten. I've had issues with how I look my entire life. I puke because I feel like I'm going to get fatter and fatter. No one knows about it and I feel like I have to tell someone. It's not out of hand, yet... Should I tell my therapist that I've been purging, or just keep it to myself?

You should definately tell her. This could get bad. Really bad if you don't tell someone. The fact that you've had issues with your body your whole life means this is probably an eating disorder. You have to catch it and treat it before it gets any farther.

Yes you should definitely tell your therapist this that way he/she can help you and not let this get out of hand! Since you trust your therapist don't be afraid to tell them anything. You will get more help that way...Good luck

trust your therapist but also trust yourself! start having a positive attitude toward life. What's causing this insecurity, we're all beautiful inside out! feel good, be happy -life is short! tell someone, share what's bothering you and kick this bad feeling!
good luck my friend!

You are developing another self-harming behavior. You MUST tell your therapist. It is very important. This must be addressed now and nipped in the bud.

Do you see a psychiatrist too? If not, one could be very helpful. They look at your problems from a different angle.

The two together, could be a winning combination for you imo.
