Help with trying new foods while coping with Eating Disorder?!


Question: I keep eating the same foods everyday and feel like I'm not healthy. Does anyone have tips for how to add new foods? I automatically buy and eat the same thing. I have an eating disorder so this may play into it, but I really do want to eat different things.
I keep eating egg whites, veggies, and fruit all the time. Fats are a few almonds a day and half a slice of cheese.

I had an ED for a long time and I definitely understand where you come from. I felt guilty about most foods so I wouldn't eat them. Though when I wanted to try something new, going to a play like Whole Foods was always a good choice. There's plenty of organic products there that wont make you feel so guilty about eating. Plus they have premade foods as well, such as vegetarian/vegan chili and soups and sandwiches...it's great. Best of luck to you. I really mean that. xox

Not really sure, but you could try eating the foods you do eat, and mixing them or eating them with something else

Campbells Chicken Corn Chowder................it will do the trick.
oh and with crackers ...don't forget the crackers.

you could maybe try cereals, they're also healthy!

Which eating disorder?? There's many. It's impossible to answer your question with out more information.

You food habits with the ingreients you have mentioned is ok . If you are less than 40, in age , this food is ok. There is no problem with this food since your belly and bladder and metabolic system of the body accept the stuff you needed to . its really difficult to give an answer to this question, because you have an eating disorder and you've become comfertable with the foods you eat.

i would suggest trying things that have your main foods in them. Try a fruit salad with the fruits you already eat mixed in. And i wouldn't rush yourself, because you might make the matter worse if you force yourself to try new things.

but i do know that you should try to ease into eating meat, preferably chicken. its good for you and has proteins you need.

again, i wouldnt force anything. try to ease into something different.

would it be possible to add small amounts of new things to the foods you already eat? this way you can introduce new foods into your diet slowly. you can make your egg whites with meats like ham or salmon (very good for you). you could try to add some plain yogurt with your fruit, or make stir frys with your veggies. whole wheat things are very good for you... i really wish you the best of luck, and happy eating. =)
