O.C.D...look it up, lots of information on it and many suggestions for treatment. I have been exposed to many children with this disorder and can tell you that there are varying degrees of this too. I do know that certain medications can help, but you need to get her looked at thoroughly, as there can be other disorders going on that you are not aware of either. If it drives you crazy, believe me, it drives her crazy too.

OCD.
some people seek help but still can't change. they feel anxiety if they don't perform these "rituals"

Sounds like OCD. She should seek professional help.

Sounds like OCD to me, you should start your research on it and figure out how to get professional help.

In this severe of a case of OCD medical attention might be considered.

Its Obsessive Compulsive disorder, it wont go away on its own usually. Treatment wont work unless she is willing and participates. Its also usually because they think something bad is going to happen if they dont do all of these rituals(doing things over and over again)

That is ocd (obsessive compulsive disorder.)

She probably feels as if she does not do these rituals something bad will happen to her or someone she loves.

First of all, breathe, its not a huge deal, sounds like maybe a small OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) read up on it some people just have them and never have to take meds or anything, it just happens and they can function just fine with them. If she wants help all she has to do is ask a psychiatrist and they have meds if it bothers her or interferes with her life.

It sounds like she has obsessive compulsive disorder. There are medications that can help her.

See OCD, in section 7, at http://www.ezy-build.net. (.net.nz/~shaneris) [Type, and enter the following URL, in the usual manner: h t t p : / / w w w . e z y - b u i l d . n e t . n z / ~ s h a n e r i s ] Print/refer her. Tell her, and others in a position to influence her, that once it starts getting worse, as it appears to have done, it can quickly take over someone's life, so the time to act is NOW, while it can be nipped in the bud.

There is a website that gives some good information for families and friends of people that have an obsessive compulsive disorder. (I put the link below) It is Australian so the phone numbers won't do you any good but the advice is still sound. The second link is for OCD groups around the world, so if you call the closest one they should be able to put you in contact with someone that can help.

OCD is made up of Obesessions (nonsensical thoguhts and urges that the person tries to resist or eliminate) and compulsions (thoughts and actions used to supress the obsessions and provide relief)

If your sister is parking the car that way to avoid some dreaded event from occuring there is an obessions and compulsions.

Generally to be diagniosed as OCD these compulsions would have to interfere with daily life, relationships, occupation and would have to take up more than 1 hour every day. And be combinded with the obsessive and intrusive thoughts

She might otherwsie just be a little kooky and a perfectionist.
