Well, first off you need to calm down. Counting all the hours and days and seconds you've been awake won't help. Obviously you can still write coherently, so I doubt that you are going mad.

As for how you can get to sleep. I would suggest visiting your doctor for the short term and for the long term to immediately start investigating something called "sleep restriction". You can learn about that here: http://www.sleepnet.com/ . You will also find supportive forums there where you can connect with others who are going through the exact same thing!

Take good care.

Sex works for me..

That is serious insomnia. I would see a doctor, bro. You are fine in health I am sure, but your body needs sleep, and if you aren't getting it, there is actually a field that specializes in sleep brain functions, and your physician can direct you to one if it is really as bad as you say. My advice, lay down and sleep. But, obviously if you could do that, you wouldn't make this question. Make an appointment with your doctor, he can absolutely point you to brain/sleep specialists. Hope it gets fixed, : ).

PS: No, you aren't going mad, insomnia is a lot more common then you think. You are ok, just let a doctor direct you to a proffesional. Take care brother.

me too they say you get forgetful if that keeps up mines working i got crs lately''

See insomnia treatments, in section 3, at *ezy-build, below. Use one of the relaxation methods, in bed, after lights out, on pages 2, 11, 2.c, or 2.i, but they can take some time to learn, (progressive muscular relaxation excepted) so learn and become proficient in their use during the day; an alternative is to use the EFT, in section 53, and pages 2.q, and 2.o, saying to yourself: "Even though I currently have a sleep disorder, I deeply and completely accept myself." (or choose your own wording) while you use the acupressure tapping technique. Find out which works best for you, in the daylight hours, so you will be prepared, come bedtime. For many people, a good idea is to develop a set "wind down" routine for the last hour before bedtime, so your unconscious mind learns that it is time to put thinking aside, and prepare for mindfulness, (awareness, without cogitation/purposeful thought) or the EFT, in preparation for sleep, but the idea here is to not even think about sleeping: just drift off, naturally. * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris

sometimes this happens to me. its called insomnia. what i try when this happens is read it off; go to bed and read until you passout =)

this works because it is a form or meditation
(when you focus your thoughts on one thing)
but there are plenty or other things you could try. find what works for you!

A comfortable pillow and mattress are essential
Set a nice cool, dark, and quiet environment wheretosleep
Do not exercise before sleeping
Do not eat or drink a lot before sleeping.but drink sum warm milk it kinda makes u drowzy.
Avoid caffeine, nicotine, and other stimulants in the evening.
Do not read or watch TV in bed.
Only go to sleep when you are feeling really tired.
Eat well, and exercise regularly during the day.
Change your sleeping position. try sleeping on ur tummy.

If you can't fall asleep within the first 40 minutes of going to bed, get up and do something else until you feel sleepy

Kill the Noise
Do not become dependent on sleep medication
try not to nap during the day.
clear ur mind of all thoughts.

I really hope this helps.plz give me best answer if u like it
