I suffer from both too. I would have to say yes it is. The OCD I have is a checking switches/doors one. The dr gave me an anti depressant that helps with it, but also helps lift my mood. When I'm stressed or depressed, my checking goes into overdrive and although I can laugh about it sometimes, it can take me a long time to leave the house....
I totally undertsand what you're saying. Mine was 7 times, but it's now down to about 3. It's such a hard thing to overcome but my Crisis counsellor has helped a lot. Time and patience and good friends have also helped me. Good luck.
i would have to say yes to some extent...i have both.
It's not unusual. Both are symptoms of unresolved conflicts. Try counselling - it will help you to come to terms with whatever is behind your problems.
On the other hand, think of all the limericks you can write rhyming obsessive with depressive.

One can trigger the other illness off - not unheard of.
yes they are linked, i have OCD and when i get depressed i find it alot worse, when i am happy its much better. But tackling depression is really hard and i find im much more depressed in the winter because of the lack of light. I wouldn't take anti depressents for it because you will get addicted to them, i never have taken them and always been able to fight the depression by going out with friends and excersising!!!!

it can be but not in all cases though i have ocd and used to be depresed. my depression tends to return when im having a bad day with my ocd.
In some cases.
O.C.D can lead to deppression.
