Anxiety help!?!
Question: I was diagnosed with Social Anxiety about 3 years ago. I don't have a problem if I am talking to a person for a few minutes in a social setting, but I get extremely nervous when I am in an interview type situation. My blood pressure rises, my hands start to shake, and eventually I cry.
I have taken Paxil on and off several times and haven't seen any results besides killing my appetite and giving me a bad headache.
I now have to meet with the priest that is going to marry my fiance and I. Does anyone have any quick remedies to decrease my anxiety level? Taking a deep breath and thinking of something else doesn't help.

It's hard. I was diagnosed 8 years ago with the same thing.
Does you stomach turn? and you feel sick?(mine does..)
Peppermint helps with that...
Also what helps me is meditation, breathing techniques,
A few things that help(but seem silly), spinner rings, and worry stones.... gives you a way to calm your self threw repetitive actions...
Best of luck
first - you need to stop worrying about having the anxiety episodes. i know that's easier said than done - Ive been there! stop and think about it - what are you afraid of? why are you afraid of it. you have to reason with yourself - that there is no danger! i highly recommend seeing a cognitive behavior specialist! they will teach you what anxiety is and how to cope with it
Count to ten slowly 1....2....3.....4....5.....6.....7....8.... and then let all your fear out, now dont let it back in
