Can't sleep!?!


Question: OK, I'm 14 years old. I cannot sleep, I don't know why, I have to go to school like at 7am and go to sleep like at 5am. I don't think that is healthy. I've tried going to sleep earlier, but I just stay there awake. I don't wanna take any sleeping pills because those are dangerous, I don't want to take that risk. I really need to go to sleep earlier. Help.

Sometimes it may be that your sleeping schedule is out of place. I've had insomnia for 11 years, I'm 16. My sleep schedule is a bit messed up, but a solution that may help you get a schedule is: Stay up all night, and all day, then go to sleep early that next night. If you don't sleep one night, you should be tired for the upcoming night. If it works right, you'll get up in time for school, and your schedule will be better.

If it doesn't work and the problem consists, speak to your parents and/or Doctor about the possibility of having insomnia.

take some benedryl it is not a narcotic or addictive and it will help you to fall asleep. it is the main ingredient in tylenol pm, which we are not getting into tylenol and liver damage

U know, that sometimes happens to me too. Don't eat 2 or less hours before u go to bed, and drink only water, don't watch movies, do homework, play videogames, or any physical excersizes 1 hour or less before bed, and when u do go to bed, go to bed at about 10:00 pm, think for about 7 minutes, and then try to not move, do try to think as little as possible, and u should fall asleep. If u dont, go see a doctor.

please dont sleep in afternoon or evenings because then later you wont feel sleepy
drink a warm glass of milk
switch of all or almost all the lights in the room and lie on your bed.you should start feeling tired and drowsy.
close your eyes and you wont know it and you will be asleep

all methods are tested by me!!! for u see,i was an insomniac for a while!

This website gives some great ideas for helping you t fall asleep. I used to always do my homework, it always made me sleepy (lol).

I have been using melatonin ffrom GNC for six years ti fall asleep. It still works great. its only $2.99 for a two week or month supply. its like vitamin c so its not like prescrition drug
