Brain Zaps in your Dreams on Effexor XR?!
Question: I suffer from high anxiety from a recent tramatic even and my doctor prescribed Effexor XR. It has been working like a charm for my anxiety and I feel great. However, last night I had extemely vivid dreams and then was awakened twice by what I can only describe as brain jolts. Kind of freaked me out. Felt like I punched myself in the face in my sleep accidentally. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks!

I have taken Effexor. The thing that you describe is a known side effect. It can take place anywhere in your body. Just tell your doctor about it. Dont stop the medications.
Wow I take the same medication and never had that happen to me. Maybe your body reacts to the medication differently
