Lexapro effects?!
Question: I started Lexapro 3 weeks ago. I take it due to my extremely stressful job and the anxiety it causes me.
Question: Does Lexapro cause you to have more desperate feeling before it begins to help? It seems that my anxiety has increased.

Sometimes Lexapro causes those very bad side effects making those feelings and thoughts you take that medication for much worse. Its obvious you should switch drug classes. No more benzo's. try welbutrin or beta blockers
When I was taking it, I lost my appetite. I ended up switching to Zoloft, and it was way better.
when I started taking lexapro I went through a period where it seemed like my anxiety attacks became 100X worse and the feeling of absolute depression got stronger. After an anxiety attack that lasted well over two hours I went back to my doctor. Explained to him the problems and that I couldnt continue on the medication because I feared that I might do something Id regret later, or worse never have a later to regret. So he put me on welbutrin to counter act the side effect of lexapro. I can honestly say I havent felt this great in years. My stress levels are way down and I dont feel as anxious about the little things anymore. Good luck!
I'm taking Paxil now but I took Lexapro last year.
I have anxiety attacks no matter which one I take and I never had an anxiety problem, just depression.
The weirdest side effect from both of them is what I call "crazy legs." When I sit I can't keep my legs still. I have to either bounce one of them up and down or move one from side to side rapidly.
I'm waiting for the anxiety attacks to stop, but till they do I just walk away from my work for a few minutes and go to the restroom.
