all you do is going into the new doctors surgery that you would like to join and tell them you want to sign up as a new patient.
they will give you a form to fill in, which you write your name, address, NHS number (if you dont know what it is then they can find out for you) and your age and you also have to write the previous doctors name and surgery you were at before

You can look on the internal for a list of your local Drs (by google search or www.yell.com - Yellow Pages online) and ring round to see if any of them are accepting new patients - it should be as easy as that.

Going to your local docs would help.

Do an internet search for your new area to find a list of local Dr's surgeries. You should be able to find a list which includes address and phone number. Give them a call and find out which ones are taking on new patients. When you have done that it is usually a case of picking one, going in and picking up some registration forms. That is all I did and my new Dr's is much better than my old ones. Good luck

you can ring NHS Direct and they will tell you which doctors are taking on new patients
you then need to ring the surgery and make an appointment to go and apply to go on their books
most doctors want you to have a health check before they will decide whether to take you on

find a new doctor , go their and just ask them how to register

thats it

i have move in the last 3 months had to do all that !!!
