PANIC ATTACKS CAN BE CURED WITH THIS SIMPLE TECHNIQUE.
"JUST IGNORE IT " THEY ARE HARMLESS AND CAUSE NO DAMAGE. I HAVE LOTS OF TIPS TO CURE THE PANIC ATTACK IN MY BLOG CHECK OUT
http://trainyourmind.blogspot.com

This is serious, go to the Doctor, get Professional help..

breath into a bag and take your mind off of stressfull things in your life that should calm you down

I'm literally having one right now.
I have a brown paper bag in one hand pressed up against my mouth.
The bag recirculates your air, and makes you breathe better.

Try it, it honestly works.

breathe slowly and deliberately
see a doc
to find out if medication might help

3 A WEEK??????????? YOU NEED PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP!!!!!!!!! MEDS!!!!!!!!!! thats too many friend, you gotta get it under control before you can start learning to get rid of them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only way I have found to get rid of them is to take medicine. I take Lexapro.

I used to have these all the time. I would call my sister an she would talk me down. Just know, there is nothing wrong with you, you can breath, you are not in trouble. Try to do something else like answer questions on this site....

i had them before and i ended up in the ER of the hospital go get help before that happens to you

Put yourself in a different place mentally, take 3 deep breath's,get fresh air,sit and be idle

I agree with the above poster- seek help. But until then, breathe as slowly as possible, taking deep breaths and counting a few seconds in between breaths to slow down your heart.

remember how well you handled one last time. at the time it seeemed horrendous, but you did well.

I have a similar problem though its not so frequent. The solution is not counseling. It is not just a mental disorder but a biological one as well. You need medication.

There are drugs that help you calm down, but first go to a psychiatrist and get a prescription!

I don't know how severe your attacks are there are diff rent degrees. I could not breath and had to just keep telling myself it was okay and that I in dead could breath and everything was going to be just fine. I started telling myself this with the very first attack and after a few days I could get myself through them and they stopped.

This is going to sound really stupid, but try it, it works!! I was having panic attacks really back related to my PTSD. Look around the room and concentrate on objects in the room. Go through each object and ask yourself what color it is. So you go, the floor is brown, the wall is pink, the door is white. Then concentrate on how your body parts feel wherever you are and try to relax them. My shoulders feel tense, relax them and so on. It sounds stupid but it really works!!! I hope it helps.

Fear is a terrible thing to live with day to day, I know! I went through a few things to overcome that fear, but the one thing that helped the most is a subliminal tape on self-esteem. Look up Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Float tanks as well for more help.

By the way all of you that think a person can get over this without outside help... I'll gladly meet you in a dark ally on a moonless stormy night and we'll see just how easy it is to overcome your fears!

for some reason something has change in your life some kinda event please talk to doc ,maybe you can some kinda anti anxiety med , nothing heavy just until you can figure out whats going on in your life, if you get to the point were you have numbness and cant breath is very common with it please take a brown paper bag and breath in to it to get your breathing under control and if you don't have a bag, please hold shut one side of your nostrils nose and you will clam down faster, good -luck

See a doctor. I dealt with them for years, before they finally got so debilitating that I couldn't function. There are plenty of relaxation techniques you can research, but if you're having three a week, that is far too many to have a "normal" life. Get yourself to the doctor, ASAP.

PANIC ATTACKS: Have you seen the techniques for control of panic attacks, in section 8, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris yet? Begin by holding your breath for 5, or 10 seconds: this will give you the confidence to realise that YOU CAN CONTROL YOUR BREATHING, but not pass out, or die (your autonomic nervous system resumes breathing, if unconscious). Understand panic attacks, and what triggers them, in your life (if it is unresolved anxiety, see section 6). The paper bag method works for most people: have you tried it? If you are fairly suggestible, the following are reliable, and reasonably priced:

Your last alternative is psychotherapy, to address its fundamental cause: read section 1, and examine the 1-800-therapist website, and use the locators, and phone book. I used to suffer from panic attacks, until I questioned what had changed recently in my life, to trigger them? I suggest that you learn, then practise the controlled breathing technique, until competent, then employ it, at the very first sign of a panic attack.

I exit the situation that is causing me to fee anxious as soon as possible.

Meds have helpe along with therapy too.
