I think I have SAD. How do you cope with seasonal depression?!

Question: I read about SAD and I exhibit most, if not all, of the symptoms attributed to it. It's getting pretty bad and I just want to learn how to cope.

Have you ever heard of light therapy? If not, definitely check it out on the internet. Basically, SAD is caused by our bodies being in "hibernation" mode since we are not receiving enough light and energy from the sun (mostly we spend our days under fluorescent lighting) to stimulate a certain gland. Light therapy is a process where people who are affected in this way use a high lux light that helps them get the amount of light that they need. You'll wake up feeling much more refreshed and ready for the day :) I'm no expert though, so have a look yourself online!
Hope you're feeling better soon.

Look into relocating south.

I recommend eastern North Carolina.

You have to make a list of all the things you like to do.
things that you have fun with, that u enjoy doing, dating, for example, making gym, dance( like axe, hip hop) somthing u like or some sport, being actualizeted... go to the coiffeur, go to the discos. date a very handsome guy hahaha

I try and stand by the windows when it's sunny. I basically hibernate and watch a lot of movies (netflix is good for this) all winter. I dislike winter. It's very unpleasant...sorry.

I have it too , I don't try to fight it I just have a possitive attitude that this day is almost over so I'm one day closer to spring time......
