Call the cops and tell them your son is out of control. Seriously, they will help and it will put a hell of a rude awakening on your son and might make him change his attitude.

Either that or get him into A&E as quick as possible. If you live without other adults in the house you may need to call an ambulance.

I would run him to the nearest emergency room or mental health center as soon as possible -- run, don't walk. Sounds like you and the baby are in danger and you guys need help! Get him to a doctor or therapist NOW!!!!!

Do what Vicky L said, stat!

Get a friend to help restrain him, and make him take his meds, or call the paramedics

Call 911. He is a danger to others and needs hospitalization. Do it now!!

Yeah thats definately not a healthy environment to be in right now. It could be a sign that he is jealous of his sister. Newborns require a lot of attention and most 10-year-olds don't fully understand your responibilities to your daughter. Do you make an effort to have good communications with your son? If you haven't been putting effort into the relationship with him, then that may be a basis for this aggression.

Regardless, get everyone in the house into an emergency intervention with a mental health provider right now. I am very afraid that he is a threat to you and himself. I suggest that after an emergency intervention, schedule for him to see a counselor at least once a week.

Get as much help as you can get. Be stong. Your children need you to be an uber parent. I know you didn't ask for it and it is very hard. I am in the tail end of it and things are getting better. You can't do it alone. For some kids it takes a community of caring people to have that much patience to bring them through. Love

take a video of him secretly (with your phone or something), THEN bring him to the hospital showing them and thouroughly explaining his "sweet behavior" just so he can get out

I agree the first thing you need to do is log off and call the police. If they will not do a mental health app then your next step is to call the paramedics while they police are still there. You as a parent can demand them transport him to a near by hospital emergency department to be evaluated. I would not risk transporting him yourself..

I was the same was as you described your son.. I was not aware bipolar could affect kids so young. I had symptoms of psychosis before age 10 and was treated for it ever since but was not officially diagnosed with schizophrenia till a yr or so ago. Your son needs help or someone will eventually get hurt..

I also agree that once he is out he needs to be seen by a counselor weekly. Also implementaling a reward and consequence system may prove to be very helpful.
I'm not saying a level system exactly like those in hospital settings but something simuliar..

Good luck.. I hope you can get him the help he needs...
It may not seem like it but I can guarentee he is just as miserable as he is making everyone around him feel..

If he puts on an act for the police and the doctors, I would video tape him and show the tape to them. Maybe if they actually saw how he really behaves, they might be able to do something about this. I am sorry but he needs to be hospitalized before he does something dreadful.
