How to deal with the 'bad' days with a bi-polar spouce.?!

Question: My spouce is bi-polar. Not really bad but just on the verge. I am 11 weeks pregnant and I know he is stressing out about fianaces and such but it's really getting to him and I sure notice it in his moods lately. I am very short on patients and find myself biting my tongue a lot lately. How do I get through this bad time until he gets his stuff in order.

go to this website dbsa.org it is the depression and bipolar support alliance. lots of help and support groups all over the country for patients and families. Good luck to you.

Just build up your patience. You know he's bipolar and it's a temporary problem, so why worry about it?

It's tough. My younger sister is bi-polar and has her good days and bad days. And those are categorized into good months and bad months which goes into good year or bad year. It's hard because you love them so muich but when they are going through a manic or depressive stage... they're a completely different person. Try to remind him of how much you do love him and reassure him that everything will be alright. It's good to be rational though.
