What are some signs of insanity?!

Question: How exactly can you define insanity?

And what are signs that you suffer from insanity?

One sure definition is repeating the same behavior and expecting different results.

Over 60% of the general population is dysfunctional. So, I begin to wonder if that isn't normal. A simple feeling that you don't belong or that you are different [because you probably are one of a kind] isn't insanity. It's just a sign of dysfunctionality.

I got hit with the answer, people who are truly nuts think they are sane. That refers to psychotics, not neurotics. I don't think anybody who questions their sanity is psychotic.

Bipolars, what used to be called manic-depressive, have extreme mood swings.

I was going to join Paranoids Anonymous, but they wouldn't tell me where they held their meetings.

Actually, if you think that something you are doing or thinking may be abnormal, search the Internet and read what others have to say about that symptom. Then decide for yourself.

1. the condition of being insane; a derangement of the mind.
2. Law. such unsoundness of mind as affects legal responsibility or capacity.
3. Psychiatry. (formerly) psychosis.
4. extreme folly; senselessness; foolhardiness.

Insanity covers about 100 different types. What are the symptoms involved.

Seeing things that aren't there, hearing voices, making strange decisions, random emotions....
