Anyone use passive aggressive behavior because of abusive childhood?!

Question: Does anyone use passive aggressive behavior as a way to avoid conflict or confrontation. I've gotten to the point where I can't deal with conflict anymore so I just try to keep my mouth shut or use silent treatment if I do have an issue with someone's ways. Because it seems like talking just makes things worse alot of the time. I grew up in an abusive situation where I couldn't say anything about my feelings because it just made the person angry and I feel like I have to keep on doing that now in many situations. Anyone else going through this?

In a childhood where you cannot express your feelings you learn passive aggressive behavior as a survival technique. Since this is what you have instinctively used to live it is only natural that this is what you will continue to use as long as it suits you and as long as you haven't learned any skills to replace this practice. This is the voice of experience. I am better at facing unpleasant issues but still find the old passive aggressive behavior saves a lot of time and trouble.

I had an abusive childhood, but I got over it.It`s not any ones fault that life is to hard for them and some can`t cope.I try to make tomorrow better than today.I avoid aggressive acts because I do`nt want to get hurt or hurt anyone else. The pain is not gone it`s stored safely away.
