How can I stop worrying about my kitties when I go out of town? Serious answers !

Question: I am going out on town on thursday and coming home on saturday. I will be leaving my two cats at home alone for one day, no big deal. However, I constantly worry about them when I am out of town to the point where it almost keeps me from having fun. Mind you, I have o.c.d. and get a little worked up about things sometimes. Any suggestions on how to stop worrying so much when I am out of town? Please be compassionate, serious answers only.

awe, I used to be like that with my dog.
have you had your kittens for a while?
you get used to it.
just think that they'll be okay over and over again,
it'll help. :)

You obviously love them a lot. Can't you get someone to duck in and check on them often... like a neighbor or a relative?? I know I could not leave my dog (I have to take her with me everywhere I go) so I know how you feel although cats are MUCH more independent than a dog. I used to have a cat and once I left her for 4 days. All the time I was gone, I thought about her and I got a speeding ticket coming home from Atlantic City. I got home and she was just fine but happy to see me... one day is NOTHING! I know this doesn't help much but try to get a sitter for them. I think that might be helpful for you.

perhaps there is someone you know who could stop in to make sure they are ok? a neighbor? a relative?

i have always had cats, and they seem to do well on their own for a couple days.

leave them plenty of water, and a bowl of food... i'm sure they will be just fine!

hugs

They will problie sleep, play eat and drink. I have had to leave 4 little ones alone for 4 days . I did have some one check on them but they were fine and happy to see me home. As long as you leave enough water and food and make sure there box is clean you should have no trouble. Hopefully you don't have to keep them caged then I would worry. Good Luck.
