I hear you man, im having the same problem right now. For about a week now I cant sleep AT ALL without a sleeping pill. I dont know whats wrong, I mean I never was the best sleeper but this is just eating me up inside. I think the added stress of not being able to sleep only makes it worse, because when you go to bed you assume you wont be able to fall asleep. Right now only ambien helps me sleep, but im thinking of trying meditation or some form of relaxation technique to put my mind at ease before bed. Good luck to you.

I think the number one reason people can't sleep is their conscience. Have you done something to someone that you feel guilty about? Or are you thinking of doing something that you know is wrong. There is no better sleep then the sleep of a clear heart.

I have gone through the same thing for many years, and it never changes. Though it is becoming rather difficult to deal with at times, I just make sure to nap when I can!
Sorry to hear about that! I know it can be cumbersome!

it is common if you're under stress or worrying about something,if not then it could be just something you go through every now & then, this happens to me at times, sometimes i can't sleep, when i wake in the morning i have heaps of energy, other times i can sleep alot and have no energy, try some chammomile tea or lavender oil as these are naturally therapeutic

You are going into a recharge and renew state and most of is is mental ,that is why your mind can't rest, keep a diary the next time that happens and you will see after that period is over you can see how things have changed in your life

betwixt too. not getting better with house guest , newborn ,bills.15.3yr old.... over sized ole ady .no ooh !!!
worked nights, same thing.house is right on the road so .... trucks, sirens , helicopters, horns, boom boxs, just 3 min. with a new gun on one of those i might get a few hours. good luck.

sometimes when we cant sleep we can just lie down and close our eyes and pray , mediatate whatever and be still like we r asleep n it will help our body rest

omg i have the same thing right now insomnia i couldent sleep for a week so what i did was turn off the lights read for about 5 minutes till i got bored close the door dont listen to anything (i hate ocean music and i dont think it helps) and imagine yourself walking up a staircase it sometime works for me =)

See insomnia treatments, in section 3, at *ezy-build, below. Use one of the relaxation methods, in bed, after lights out, on pages 2, 11, 2.c, or 2.i, but they can take some time to learn, (progressive muscular relaxation excepted) so learn and become proficient in their use during the day; an alternative is to use the EFT, in section 53, and pages 2.q, and 2.o, saying to yourself: "Even though I currently have a sleep disorder, I deeply and completely accept myself." (or choose your own wording) while you use the acupressure tapping technique. Find out which works best for you, in the daylight hours, so you will be prepared, come bedtime. For many people, a good idea is to develop a set "wind down" routine for the last hour before bedtime, so your unconscious mind learns that it is time to put thinking aside, and prepare for mindfulness, (awareness, without cogitation/purposeful thought) or the EFT, in preparation for sleep, but the idea here is to not even think about sleeping: just drift off, naturally. * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris

try learning how to meditate and it will help you relax more..

the secret is understanding your wastefull thinking process...also...if your physicaly more active during the day your body tends to rest better at night!!

i know what its like its been a long time stuggling with this!

Good luck!
