I am afraid to report child abuse what should I do?!
Question: I have written a letter and sent it in. The postage was insufficient and I am not sure it got there. I am terrified because this person is literally a psycho alcoholic. Anyway I would like to phone, but I am scared to because the people I live with would probably back me up if someone did retaliate because they are crazy too.

Send it again or call from a pay phone.
. First go to a preacher, then a teacher if you know any, and then to a Head Nurse at a big hospital, then to the Police.

When you Report this ...... It is Anonymous. No one should be able to find out Who Reported it. Have you thought about using a PAY PHONE to call and then just Keeping your Mouth Shut about it?

You won't have to give your name or any identifying details. It can be done completely anonymously! If you know or even suspect that a child is at risk, you can call the police or social services. Don't wait, or even think about it any longer, please just DO something!
So you are saying that your safety is more important than the child's? You are an adult with choices. If the people you live with are crazy them move out. Find somewhere else to live. A report on a child can be done anonymously. Stop making excuses and protect this child!

If you are so close to the person in question as to say they are a psycho alcoholic you then must know a family member or doctor or the child's school or people they deal with.
Tell them your concerns.
If you are hesitating this much .....I am wondering why are you living around so many mentally challenged people? Everyone is "crazy" that you are around. Could you yourself be having some mental health problems? Just a thought...
I love the calling from a pay phone idea. Or resending the letter with significant postage is good too. The reports are anonymous and you really need to report it. No child deserves that.
