HELP! Am Trying to move on. . .?!

Question: I've moved to the city, am selling my beloved horse and have fallen in love, but it all seems so wrong. I'm really trying hard to move on with my new '08 life. I can't go back to what I left behind, but I'm so sad. I can't let go. I'm away from everything I know I want and need. . . please help me. I want it to go away.

Mid-October I ran off with my now fiance to Missouri from South Carolina. I left behind my family, friends, job, and alot of my stuff and you know what? I don't regret a damn thing. I jumped off the boat and into the deep blue sea and I just started to swim. Sure at first I kicked and sputtered and gasped for air, but then I realized the tides would bring me to shore once again so for now I just keep swimming. Anyways don't worry, everything will work out for the best. Just have faith.

but home is where the heart is.

My advice would be to get out and do things that would take your mind off of the past. Moving forward in life is never easy but better things do come from it. Stay positive. What you left behind you can always get again and it be even better. Start meeting new ppl and do things that you know that make you feel good and always tell yourself that your life is changing for the better.

Just be patient. You need time. It will get better, just give yourself enough time.

It seems to me that you are scared. Scared of change, scared of leaving the past behind, scared of what may lay ahead. It is if you have been travelling on a straight road for a long time, and all of a sudden you have come to a crossroad. You have chosen your path, but you are not sure if you have chosen correctly - and you can't see more that 10m ahead of you. You know, we all get scared. Of ourselves, of the decisions we make, of where our path is heading. Just take one step at a time, one day at a time... and remember to breath... Before you know it - you will be on a straight road again.

Keep reminding yourself why you can not go back and give yourself a big pat on the back for recognizing a toxic environment and getting out. As far as being in love, know that if your love was meant to be with this person, it will happen. Concentrate on doing what is best for you then everything else just kinda falls into place, I promise. Keep your chin up and know you are doing a good thing! Good luck!

just because you are changing and moved on doesn't mean the past is gone forever. let it go for a while but again it won't ever fully be gone. so don't be scared to let go. we all can't be in the same place and the same attitude forever. we have to change in order to grow and its just natural. again because you are letting go now doesn't mean its gone forever.
