no, it's not your fault.
blame your genes, that's what i do for my adhd and bipolar disorder...
tell them to shove it, i know it's really hard when people make fun of you because you may not be "normal" like them. it's a part of life, it's genetic and genetics aren't very nice at times...don't be embarassed, seriously. everyone always acted like i need more help than i had during grade school and some of my teachers last year(10th grade) always asked me if i needed more time on tests...but now, from going to a 1.0gpa freshman year i went to a 3.0 gpa...well 3.0-3.5gpa...awesome, right? it takes time to love who you are, everyone goes down that path if they have a problem. yes, you function just like them but you have something different that they dont have, it makes you look stronger than them since you have to struggle more than they ever will. just look at it like that, you just need to focus on how to help yourself...maybe talk to your doctor or find a doctor to talk to about it. talk to your teachers about it too...does your school have a "Resource Room" (thats what we call it in missouri at least..) if so, you can definitely go down there and they'd help. people that teach/help people with their learning disabilities only teach them how to work around it and be successful at it. next time someone makes fun of you for it, just say you'll be more successful than they ever will be....cause it's the truth. when you have a problem that is right in the middle of your life academically, it's hard as hell...but when you have enough patience and practice....youll learn toaccept it and improve your skills. if you do those things..i swear you'll do great in school and your future career.

No, and and you can do anything anyone else can. You are perfect in every way.

no its not your fault , you have no choice in the matter , you are how you are , be happy with yourself noone is perfect we all have our own faults math to me is like looking at greek or hebrew dont worry about it be proud of who you are and you own unqiness

haha of course not. they're probably not familiar with the disability and just think you had a brain fart and are laughing along with you. do they know you have dyscalculia?

don't feel stupid or embarassed!!! there's plenty that you're good at that the kids that laughed at you aren't and they're probably jealous of the things that you can do better than them. there's haters everywhere but we all learn to ignore them and focus on the people in our lives who really matter.

NO, we all have a short suit in something, so to speak, just stay with what you are good at. If I could I would bust those kids who make fun of others, but alas I can't, just remember they will get theirs some day.

how do you know if you have it?
i seriously think i might have it. 11 years of schooling and i was sooooo bad. its just math. im dropping it . if it makes me unappy, then it can screw off..

Kids can be so cruel, I hope that you are able to ignore them. Some just don't have the maturity to accept that people can be different but still be wonderful. I wish they could see themselves as the more mature see them, it is so sad. Your disability is not your fault, and you shouldn't feel stupid as I am quite certain you excell at other things like writing. It is embarrassing, but just keep plugging along and maybe with some extra tutalage you can over cover some of the easier math problems. Good Luck and don't give up because you are a person of value.

NO! Absolutely NOT! Nobody and I do mean _-*NOBODY*-_ chooses to have a learning disability!
I know it's difficult because I saw it when I was in school but try not to acknowledge the kids teasing you!??
You are NOT 'stupid'! It just takes you a lil longer in math is all.
Good luck.

I'm a slow learner, but I graduated at the age of 20. It's not yet too late. Just keep studying. Have someone who have patience to assist you step by step. I played with casino cards just to be able to concentrate on numbers. Card games involve add, subtract, multiply and divide. Mahjong as well. There are also number puzzles. Kids who laugh at you in class are stupid because they don't know how to understand unique people like us. They're stereotypes. *winks*

It is definitely NOT your fault! You should be proud of who you are. Ignore those whom make fun of you and do what make you feel happy, like writing. You might want to discuss this with your Math teacher.

What might happen when you want to do your math, is that you get over anxious ... which creates stress and your mind that handles mathematical questions, gets blocked.

Maybe you can engage a private math teacher to give you confidence to overcome your fear.

Don't worry about the kids in school who make fun of it. You can beat them anytime with your spelling ability or whatever else you're good at.

You are a very gifted child
Hold your head up high :)

And I'm sure you are artistically inclined :)

No it's not your fault, it's in a lot of ppl and not just you. It could happen to anyone. The thing is you have these problems it's how you work with it. that was kinda corny but whatever you get the idea. Anyone could have it and if you didn't then you woulndt be the same you1
