Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. In essence, you repeat thoughts or patterns of behavior in order to keep yourself from stressing about something. It doesn't sound like you have OCD, although you may have a mild obsession with time, which may pass or may not. It is only a problem when it interferes with normal life. Tell your sister she has OCD because she cannot stop telling you that you have OCD.

NOO

It's exactly 4:55pm eastern standard time

I have OCD and i dont think you have it. You're probably just very observant and like things to be scheduled.

you know. i am like that too.
i just think it is like an organizational thing..
i hate it when people are late, and i have to know what time they are going to be here, there, whatever.
but i know what you mean.
i put everything i do on my calander...

i dont think it is ocd at all.
its just like a being organized thing...

you dont have ocd.. ur just curious and dont mind ur own buisness...i guess... or you want to invent a time machine...definetly not ocd

No. UR perfectly Fine!
Im like that too.
I mean everyone is a little obsessive compulsives
i have acute OCD, but you dont sound as bad as me.
You dont need meds or anything. Your more like a control freak.

i don't know

Well maybe you are just extremely organized and feel that a schedule works for you. I'm not saying you don't have OCD but there are other reasons to keep in mind.

Could be a version of OCD, but remember that everyone I've ever met has some kind of OCD type condition albeit often pretty mild, so it's nothing to stress about.

If it's possible, when you need to know what time something is, try asking yourself why you need to know that. Might work as it could interupt the cycle and slowly reduce the effects at least of this.

Also might be a tiny bit of paranoia or anxiety in there in needing to know things and getting worried when you don't.

Just needing to know the time when things happen isn't considered OCD. People who have OCD have rituals they HAVE to follow or they believe something bad will happen if they don't (for example) touch a door knob 8 times before they walk away from it. The other type is over cleaning. People wash their hands over and over because they are afraid of germs, and then their hands get raw.
There are recurring, persistent thoughts, impulses, or images people experience causing anxiety.

I think you are being naturally curious, and your sister is being a sister! Here is a list of OCD behaviors and below is a good webpage with a great article for you to read! If you do not know what time, then how would you figure it out? Sounds like you like details, so you can plan, which is a good personality trait!
Some common compulsive behaviors are:

* excessive double-checking
* counting
* hand washing
* cleaning
* ordering/arranging
* touching
* praying
* hoarding

now if she tells you what time, and you ask a dozen more times just to check if you remembered correctly, that would be obsessing! Not everyone who obsesses over one thing has OCD! As in most disorders, there has to be a certain number of symptoms.

At the present time O.C.D has become an over used layman's diagnosis. Unless a doctor professionally diagnoses you just let others play their little game because that's all it is. I'd start to
worry when people called me normal because I've never heard a true explanation for that
