How do i stop being addicted to this game?!

Question: it's called maplestory. it's one of the few games i played that i got extremely addicted to. everytime i come back from a hard day of school or etc., i start going on the internet and getting addicted to mostly anything. i had a high level account on maplestory but it got hacked so i decided to quit. a few time later, i made a new account and played a lot. i decided to quit cause i realized i had to get a life. so i dropped all my items and money from that account and quit. then i started again cause i kept thinking about it. then i quit. i kept on doing this until today i quit an account again. i keep thinking about and wanting to play but also thinking bout the downside. it think of it has a world where i can be carefree and relax and have fun. but my grades go down and i get extremely addicted. like yesterday i played for 10 hours straight and woke up at 5:30pm the next day and felt nausea. help?

Hi, I used to be addicted to, but now I find it boring. If I were you, I would delete it of my computer immediately before you get completely hooked. If you find yourself downloading it again, try and limit your hours on it. Try and find something more fun to do that you enjoy as I don't mean to scare you but it can give you bad eyesight and mi-grains staring at a square for a great amount of time. Try and get out the house as much as possible even if its just fetching a newspapaer or something, as at least thats time your not on the computer. Try and go out with your friends and revise more if your grades are slipping. At first, say to yourself that if you revise for 1 hour, you get 30mins on the game. This might help! Hope it does!

Recently, I've been playing a PlayStation game constantly. Try and find a way where you can't get onto the website (or open the game). Delete it, or anything like this.

This I can relate to, twice now I have had similar run in with computer rpg's (diablo 2 and world of warcraft) they are very fun to hideout in. Though as you realize they are no substitute for life.

I have gone through the "if I cant live in balance with this game I will destroy the game utterly" ( I bought and broke the cds 3 times). I deleted my accounts so there would be nothing to go back to once I changed my mind, still I went back. It really just seems to be a moderation issue.

I found that I could get a similar feel by spending sometime reading as a substitute ,though again it is a fake mental world but can help break into the more aggressive "evil" or sitting in front of a computer. Also I have found that after particularly pathetic stint of gaming exercise helps to break away those gaming walls.

delete it completely. i know how tempting games can be, but after a while, you wont think about it any more.

weak-willed ppl get addicted to almost everything;
i can quit almost any addiction if i want to;
btw Y/A is probably even worse than your game;
