3 weeks of guilt over mania/drinking?!

Question: I was recently hospitalized for bipolar mania. I went on a drinking binge one night and came back to the hospital late and drunk. After I told all the other patients I had fun (which I did until I got depressed at the end and then it went really bad)

Then 2 days later, one patient invited a group of other patients to go drinking and then 5 days later, a patient from that group went drinking again by himself and wrote "at the bar" on the group board. I feel like it is my fault they went drinking because I told them I had fun - at the time it didn't occur to me that they would do that also (wasn't thinking straight). We aren't in touch now since we're all discharged from hospital so but I can't stop worring that I might have encouraged one of them to be an alcoholic or to resume drinking when they were a recoving alcoholic.
Any advice on how to get over the guilt? Please don't give me anymore blame though - I'm doing that a lot already and have been for 3 weeks!

It is not about not drinking entirely it is about drinking sensibly and sociably - most people enjoy a frequent libation but it's making sure you know when to stop - I find a cup of tea stops the urge for more alcohol.

go drinking

Honey, people are all responsible for their own actions. You can't make anyone do something they aren't so inclined to do themselves. You can't worry about that. You need to focus on yourself and making yourself better inside. Guilt only leads to hurt, anger, depression. You need to let go of that knowing that if they didn't want to go do what they did, they wouldn't have gone.

Life stinks and people make choices, make yours move on an live with it, it will get better,,,good luck

become a Catholic and go to confession or if you are a Catholic go to confession know that I told you what to do are you going to do it? if this suggestion only made you more depressed and you do something stupid would it be my fault?

Wow u must be very powerful!
