Starting to live, and support myself?!

Question: I've been asking myself about this for a long time now. I will be turning 19 in two months, but I still feel trapped as a kid, as I still live with my parents, don't go out much, and do not have a very social life, as I am pretty much alone, having nobody to talk with, or any kind of friend. I would like to change my life, be able to do things I enjoy, and not rely on anyone else to help me achieve them but myself. I just feel that I am approaching the 20 year mark soon and that I am afraid I might still be trapped in my rut when the time comes. Any advice?

start off going to college part time, maybe take some trade classes. then seek a part time job doing anything at all. you can always trade that job in for another while moving up in the types of jobs. you will find your niche soon, don't worry about it. go to the park, take your dog on a walk, got to a club, or the library, coffee shop, etc, you'll make new and interesting friend's soon. we all have been there, and done that. everything will fall in to place, and soon you will be out of your parents home.

move out! go to collage. preferably a party school. you meet lots of people there.

dont fear the unknown as far as growing up is concerned you just gotta get out there and do it!! and develope your own life, freinds and other changes will come if you allow it

hmm...you need friends. join clubs, become more social. if u are shy, talk to your gp and ask if u could have counselling. it might help you open up or you can go to Connextions coz its for young ppl with problems. it will make your life happier. they will help u get involved in things like volunteering, college, and help you along the way and guide you. once that happens, take one day as it comes. Then move out when you are confident enough. You can move in with friends etc. then get a girlfriend and live happily ever after. hmm...
