How do you deal with stress and difficult situations?!

Question: I just started this new temp job and I only took it because I need the money. It's really stressing me out and i'm dreading tomorrow more than anything. I have to call people up and ask them annoying questions which I hate.
In fact, at the moment i'm feeling pretty down about everything. Life just seems to either be standing still or heading backwards.

Is there anything going on in your life that you're unhappy with? Is it causing you stress? How do you deal with it?

My Thursdays are packed with classes and a lab which I completely dread.
I try to get some sleep the night before so I'm not all groggy and bitchy the next day. I try to put things in my day to look forward to like a movie at the end of the day or a really nice lunch. It helps me get through the day.
You should also try looking for a better job while working or go to night school. I highly doubt this is your future

I know this sounds silly but meditations. It really works. And if you don't want to try that, then I recommend trying to just sit in a peaceful and nonhectic room in your home and just trying to think about anything that DOES NOT stress you out.

And whenever you get really anxious or something at work you need to find ways to counteract that by thinking of something else...it is like in the movie Collateral when Jaime Foxx's character had that picture of an island in his fold down mirror. Anyway just try and have positive thoughts. Good luck with the temp job and maybe start looking for another job in your own time because this job does not sound right for you and can only lead to more unhappiness in your life later.

Taking baths really do help. I'd take a nice warm bath and listen to some really nice chill music. The band Aqualung is amazing.

I have typical teenage stressors but I find it hard to handle the stress in non-destructive ways. I've turned to self-mutilation, alcohol, and weed, and they're all terrible roads to go down. They ended up causing more damage. Sometimes you just need to take a step back from your life, close your eyes, and turn some music on. Just shut everything out for a little bit.

Take some time for yourself & good luck

The stress depends on resistance. Rather than saying No to what is, say Yes.

No resistance: no stress.
