Men do get raped, but because of the whole embarrassment factor for both sexes, they keep them apart for group.

http://www.ncgps.org/pages/therapy.html I found a state government web site that's pretty accurate from the groups I've been in.

I hope this helps. Your therapist in group and 1 on 1 sessions will suggest ways to cope with the flash backs, stress & anxiety and so on. Because of my own past, I collect stress release techniques, if you need any let me know. I can point you in a few directions that might help, or I'll try my best anyways.

usually just women. it will help if you open up and join in. good luck

I have no idea but if a guy is a rape victim then yes they will be there, If its only for women then no but they may have guys in there own therapy groups. But guys and girls r just the same in volunarbility except girls a bit more, especially for something like that.
Ppl will take that evil action in different ways though, for example, some will withdraw, get angry, get depressed, move on, etc.
If a guy is there and it makes u uncomfortable even though he himself has been rapped (not uncommon) then u don't have to stay! Ask to be with females only but you should just give it a shot if u r comfortable just to see if u can benefit from the therapy and gain positive results. May be u can call and ask or search the web on wat the therapy is like..to get a general idea.
I hope everything goes well! God bless!

I can't imagine they would put men in a rape support group. You might want to ask if it is a co-ed therapy group. I'm in a therapy group myself for a different reason and it is scary at first and it may take you awhile to open up at first but it does help. Usually they will give you a hand out or something that explains what they do and for how long.
