Staring into space?!

Question: Does anyone else find themself staring into the sky one day with the stars visible and all your problems go away for the time you are looking at space and thinking how insignificant you can be?

Many people have meditated while stargazing over the centuries. It can make your problems seem miniscule. It really is something to contemplate the boundlessness of the universe.

yes, i think that is perfectly normal.

i dont

Constantly.
It's peaceful isn't it?
^-^

yes. I do it during the day too.

not me

all the time.
space is soothing.
no wonder aliens are always happy :)

yes-i think there for there is

yeah..its reality lol ur not alone...

Sounds very much like meditation. You star at some far away point and let your mind go blank. I used to do it a lot as a kid, and when I went through labor, I stared at a shiny object in the room to help me get through labor pains. Meditation really works; it's supposed to be really good for you, too. Keep it up!

When the infinite sky gently cancels out our infinite thoughts & we feel everything is conected & beutifull.
It's all OK.
Thanks for that visualization.

Then you get bitten by an ant, it smarts you move, a sudden gust of reality.

Yeah, and then my butt gets tired and I get up and realize the world is me.

Yes, its very soothing! I realize the universe is so big and that life goes on no matter what. I think its very primal that nature soothes us. Maybe that is why people who live in cities are so stressed

I do it all the time.

But we are not insignificant, we exist!

that is the proof of our significance!

Your problems don't really go away; you just realize that in the grand scheme of things, they really don't matter.

Yep, I get lost in it. Unfortunately living in a freaking suburb the stars aren't that visible due to light pollution, but I've been to places where starlight is so bright it lights the whole town, its just the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

all the time my friend,
great feeling isn't it?

Actually, no. If it's day, I can't see the stars. But I can do it at night..... <G>

I can do it during the day, too, just focusing on something other than the stars. Often the horizon, or trees or clouds.

Of course, this is when I really realize how great God is, to have created this universe, and how greater still because He cares about each of us individually. Truly awe inspiring!

You ask this in the wrong section. Use dating and romance. You are doing a fine job gazing and all but you need to find a date to do it with you . Good luck it is your turn to try romance.

The daytime sky is more interesting, different shaped clouds.
