Do all people that commit suicide have mental illness?!

Question: Or could it arise from other circustances.

Answers: Or could it arise from other circustances.

Statistics show that the vast majority of suicides have severe depression, or bipolar disorder, but those with painful terminal illnesses also often suicide.

This line of thought frustrates me no end lol and I can tell you know there are other reasons, but some people don't and, augh.... yeah, there are other reasons. Sometimes, people just can't stand it anymore, their spouse left them, their child passed away at a young age, and they lost their job, and they felt life just wasn't worth living anymore. Some people, they can't handle the pressure that's loaded onto them by family and society (one of the reasons why Japan has one of the, if not the, highest suicide rates in the world). And yet others simply do it for attention that they never received. There are many reasons

Not all people commit suicide , i have seen some poeple who fight to live even if they are mental illness because they not only live for themselves but they also live for their loved ones .

Not always. But - that depends on what you class as suicide.

Many people sacrifice their lives for their country, or for their family and friends. This might not necessarily involve mental illness.

However, I would think that the people who commit suicide because they "hate their life" do have a mental illness. I see things from a scientific perspective, and there is no logic in a human ending its own life - therefore the only thing that could cause it is an imbalance in the brain, i.e. a mental illness.

no, there are some who cannot overcome stress, or sadness anger or hoplessness (people who expierence these all at once are considered manic) I had a friend who got so stressed out at his job (he was a lawyer) that he felt he couldn't take it any more so he ended his own life. You also have attention seekers, who don't mean to do it but unfortunately succeed.....it's sad

yes. its a mental illness. people that commits suicide usually has depression. their failure to cope up physically and emotionally with the stressful events in their lives leads to a feeling of helplessness (which normal people don't have..well they feel a bit helpless but they try to compensate for it.) hence ending their lives.
