I need to stop this!?!

when ever you feel like crap just either go out for a walk. or take the anger out through running... running is also very good for depression.

When you are mad, punch a pillow.

When I'm angry I do something to get my mind off of it, like play a video game, or invite my friends over, and I go Play Metroid Prime Hunters online, Go see if any of my friends can come over, Yahoo Answers, Check my E-mail, Jump on my trampoline, or go on YIM (Yahoo Instant Messenger).

It is good you have identified a problem that could eventually become a condition called DSH (deliberate self harm).
You may need to seek some professional help at some stage; but for, I will say try distracting yourself by doing something else when you are feeling frustrated or angry. It will take alot of strong will and determination from you to overcome this.

You should see a doctor. You likely continue this behavior because doing so releases endorphins into your body which feel good. In the meantime, find something else that makes you feel good. Good Luck!

i do that too - eat when your board- try to make plans for something to do so your mind would be concentrated on your activity. Or chew a piece of gum i know it hardly even helps but at least your body is doing half the things you do when you eat. Or go workout, youll actually be hungry because your body would need food to refuel.

When these things happen, don't just tell yourself not to do whatever it is. Give yourself an alternative, which you figure out in advance. It works best if you come up with it, but ideas like punching a pillow when you're upset are good, and when you're bored, try to do something you love to do. If you can't think what that might be, take up a hobby or something -- maybe painting? (I just say that because I would love to take up painting.)

Above all, try not to get upset with yourself for failing and reverting to your old routine. Old habits die hard, but new ones can be formed if you keep trying. Getting upset with yourself just drains you of energy and makes you more likely to pinch yourself or binge eat.

(One other thing -- I don't think pinching or scratching yourself when you feel bad is all that big a deal. I can see why you want to change it, and that is good, but don't be too hard on yourself.)
