Friend cutting herself?!

Question: I'm going to tell the school consular tomorrow. What are they going 2 do about it? I love her that's why I'm telling.

You are doing the right thing Haley...your friend might not think so tomorrow but in time she will too. The counselor will probably ask her parents to come to school for a meeting and between the counselor, your friend and her parents they will come up with a plan to help her.

I am sure the counselor will keep your identity a secret if you tell him/her to. Good luck tomorrow.

They are going 2 call her up to the school office ask her if it's true. She might say ur out 2 get her. They may ask 2 see her arms. If they find out she is she will have 2 talk 2 the consular. She might be really mean and pissed off at you. Don't take it personal she is just scared. My freshman year in high school I knew a girl and this happened 2 her. She also might get sent to a different school were they can keep a eye on her. At least that's what they do where I live.

Hi--She is lucky she has a friend like you!! They will get her some help with a psychologist or psychiatrist!!Self-injury isn't a specific disease or condition. Rather, it's a type of abnormal behavior that she needs help with. It may accompany a variety of mental disorders, such as depression and borderline personality disorder. Because self-injury is often done on impulse, it's sometimes considered an impulse-control behavior problem. You may be shocked, dismayed and scared. Learning more about self-injury can help you understand why it occurs and help you develop a compassionate but firm approach. If your loved one is older (not a child), gently encourage him or her to seek medical treatment.

Talk to her about it first. This may create tons of issues for her. Maybe you could tell her mom instead?

You are doing the right thing. What they will do is call her down to the office and probably confirm it. Then they will get the school social worker in and ask her questions about it then call her parents. ( I told my consular about a month ago and this is what happened to me) depending how bad it is they may just work on getting her a therapist or if its bad enough she may have to go to the hospital. You may not be her favorite person tomorrow but you are doing the right thing and she will see it later..Maybe this is what she needs. good luck. She's luck to have you as a friend

What your doing is a good thing, but... You might want to talk to her first or at least give her a warning. A friend of mine did that to me and i felt so out of control that i hurt myself the worst ever. I'm not saying she'll do that. But when your allready going through a hectic time in your life it isnt much better when someone pulls the rug right from beneeth you.
