Paroxitine or Seroxat should never be taken without a prescription, it is used in major depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and as you rightly said social phobias. Lots of side effect inc hepatitis and changes in blood pressure. The problem with drugs like this is that you can suffer bad withdrawal symptoms, Why don't you try something from your local Holland& Barret health shop they have a wide range of products which will do you more good than getting hooked on Paroxitine.

Definietly not. i have a social phobia too and went to my doctor and he prescribed me mediciation

No as it's an antidepressant you will need to visit you doctor

No it's only available on prescription and if you do manage to get it online from abroad, it may not be the real thing and could be dangerous.
If you can't get to the surgery, see if you can arrange a home visit - if you can't get out at all I'm sure they will see their visiting you as necessary.
edit:
Seroxat is known for causing terrible side effects in some people - you really need to be monitored if you are to take this drug.

I was on that for about 4 years and it took some getting off. Believe me you don't want to go on that stuff. There are law suits pending and a lot of damaged people with that drug.

you can buy it on the web at the site my husband and I use for some of our more expensive meds THE-MED-STORE.COM

But I think you still need to see a doctor for periodic checks and blood tests to make sure it is helping you more than it is hurting you

Paroxetine is used for:
Treating depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized and social anxiety disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder, and panic disorders with or without the fear of being in open or public places. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Paroxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It works by restoring the balance of certain natural substances in the brain, which help to elevate moods.

I'm not fond of Doctors, Hospitals or Psy myself but try if you can to see your GP as you would probably benefit from their support. If your GP is unsympathetic get another GP. Don't suffer and wait too long for help. I have previously bought drugs from the net and have had no problems with anything I have bought - Best advise though is see your GP - Good luck xx

nope.. its use needs to be monitored by a doctor..

these drugs may be very useful for some but theyre are also awful possible side effects.

No its not and rightly so, given the side effects

no its prescription only.

No, it's only available on prescription.

Would your GP be willing to do a telephone appointment? You might have to see the doctor in person for the first prescription but perhaps after that it could be managed by telephone appointments. Repeat prescriptions can be done by phone and someone else can pick it up and get it filled.

Good luck!

seroxat is the other name, glaxosmithklien is the brand. No its not availible without prescription, having on occasion run out I am well aware of this, and this was when I visited the local pharmacist whom has taken my prescription for years, they still were not able to dispense any without a prescription. The only people who agreed (as my surgeory was closed) was an emergeny clinic who said I could if I travelled 5 miles to them to take it while I was in thier presence.

You HAVE to see a doctor or it just wont happen.
