I don't know about Billy Joel himself, but I kind of get the feeling that "She's Always A Woman" is a song about someone with bpd - whether he realizes it or not. Just a hunch...

Bi-Polar disorder is often co-morbid with BPD. Fun, I'm sure.
Janis Joplin was said to have BPD, but I dunno. It's possible, but drug use was very common and accepted in her day, so I seriously doubt it. BPD is a diagnosis that gets thrown around a lot.
