Ho do i stop bein emo???!

There are quite few things you can do. I bet you are feeling or look like you are feeling bad very often.
Try;
1. Evading the sight of dark colors. Blue can make you think more, but dark blue can depress you. So can black. Even green looks depressing if dark.
2. Ask Psychologist or psychiatrist about whether you have depression and how bad is it. They may give you antidepressants. (probably in pill form).

3. Emo music may feel comfortable if you are feeling depressed, but it wont help you get out of it. Just listen to some happy music like I Can See Clearly Now by Johnny Nash and such.
4. Change your style. Get a short haircut (It always makes me feel free when I get one).
5. Ignore remarks or even laugh at them yourself and say that you agree or something(it will give you a feeling you aren't really fighting) (Just be careful what you agree with. Or you can just agree in your mind) If it makes you wanna cry or something, get to private place and let it out, wait a little and just go back in (but don't spoil yourself, just do it when it's too much) with a smile.
6. Become active. Try a social sport. Something for just two if you feel uncomfortable (like tennis).
7. Go out for a walk. Some fresh air and sun might feel a little too much for a depressed guy, but really doesn't harm.
8. Keep your chin up (but just as much as others). If you keep looking down, there's is no wonder if you appear or feel like emo
9. Keep away from angry, sad ect. people for a while. Try too soak some happy from a happy person.

There. Even if you are not really depressed and just look emo, some of these advices will be helpful. Smile.

If you are just being depressed, try by getting enough sleep and eating healthy...it always helps me to be full of energy

Talk to your friends about what they think,
and use their guidance

same thing happened to me in like 7th grade. in 8th grade i just stopped being emo completely. it really wasn't my thing anyway. so pretty much you just stop. take some yoga classes and actually put your whole soul into it. realize your life is a lot better then what you make yourself think. and figure out what you were doing to push friends away.

well you got to stop cutting yourself and start to have more confidence!!!!dont tell your friend because some friends will either get freaked out or tell there parents and they will call your parents

Push your hair out of your eyes, quit dying it black, no more heavy eyeliner, stop listening to The Cure, tight jeans with chains are just uncomfortable, and dark poetry is just annoying. Sorry, had to do it. Seriously though, I am very emotional as well. I've been like that for years. I cry at the drop of a hat (like big moose crying with snot and everything. Not very attractive) and I used to listen to nothing but Tori Amos (very depressing). I'm on anti-depressants now, and I feel that they have helped me gain control of many of my emotions. However, other ways to help is to start exercising, eating right, keeping a journal, meditation, happy music and thoughts, even prayer (I'm not religious, but it does work for many people). Losing those friends may not be such a bad thing. The friends that stayed with me through all of my problems were the ones that were true. Good luck and I hope you find happiness soon!

yeah. don't ask people on the internet. the problem with emo's is that they care too much about what other people think. stop crying and be a man.

What do you mean by emo? The attitude or the style? If it's the attitude, try going to see a doctor for depression. If it's the style, then your're not really emo. You like the look but you're not slicing yourself up. A true friend would be able to see that.
