well she's probably afraid to go to a psychologist and embarrassed or even ashamed. obviously she shouldn't be. just talk to her and tell her how much you love her and how you hate to see her in so much pain. and how a psychologist can only help bc she needs to talk to someone. tell her u'll even go with her to see one. just make sure she knows how ur there for her know matter what and how she's a great person just struggling with something. nobody is perfect and i think this is a completely understandable problem. good luck.

do what they do in the movies and yell SNAP OUT OF IT and give her a smack that usually works

Aww I think that you are a great friend for wanting to help your friend while she goes through such a rough time. But anyways, yes I do think you should help, don't ignore it. Sometimes it is hard to ask for help, and that is probably what your friend is going through. Try and talk to her about your concerns but don't push or pressure her to talk about it. If she refused to talk to you about it and you still have concerns for her, talk to your parents or her parents about it. Whatever you decide, your friend is very lucky to have somebody who cares for her. Good luck, I bet your friend will get along just fine with your help.
