Has anyone else ever felt...?!

Question: ...that a song, piece of music, whatever, has got *right inside their head*? it's hard to explain...but it happened when i was really tired, and i guess i'd say...it's like something getting under your skin, only with your mind?
wait, scratch that. it's...ok...was i just reallly tired? and has anyone else felt that?

yes, actually. there is this song - "Turn Back Time", i heard as a soundtrack and one night i was listening to the movie OST while sleeping/slumber(ing). all of the sudden it felt like i understood what exactly the author wanted to say, what the movie wanted to say while playing that song and that i myself can be seen as a figure in the story that the song portrayed.

the melody felt so compelling and immaculate at the moment that i did nothing but listen till the last second and i wasn't even tired. after the song was over i turned off the player and just listened to the harmonic echo in my head.

i don't know how many people had this experience, but i guess you can feel it when you are tired and are on the brink of sleeping. might be because your brain works passively and lets outside impulses "strike at random areas". if this is the case it would be logical that sooner or later it hits a nerve or two. ;P

P.S. i hear weed has the same effect.

Yes

?

yes songs can get "stuck" in my head to .

are you saying like what the signers new what you were thinking in your head and the music made tons of sense?
If that the question , no it's not normal.

If you mean you had a song stuck in your head , thats normal

yes

I think I know what you mean and it is hard to explain and perfectly "normal" it happens to me the nights I fall asleep to my radio next to my head, sometimes just doing that the radio can play all kinds of tricks with your head,,one time I had a CD in there and I was really tired and the first song on there is Candle box "faraway" one of my favorite songs, but I fell asleep with it on "repeat" yeah! can you imagine who knows what it did to my subconscious lmao
