I have panic attacks too and unfortunately, the feeling of dying/can't breathe/heart is racing is part of the attack. It's good that you have seeked a doctor's help and the medication is working. (I choose to not take medicine but my attacks are a little differnt because I usually know what causes them-a phobia I have.) You shouldn't worry about physical problems because panic attacks are of a psychological nature rather than physcial. While it may feel like you have heart problems, this is percieved and you usually are not in danger. I think you have had sufficient testing and should continue treatment with your doctor; you might want to look into cognitive behavioral therapy, which is a treatment that gradualy helps you deal with panic attacks.

Did they check your thyroid ?

Get more exercise, keep your blood sugar constant by eating a steady supply of low-glycemic foods. Also, drinking can really mess with your blood sugar. Meditation and yoga really, really help, too.

You would probably do more good for yourself with some good exercise and take up some more interests in life, rather than those drugs.
I don't know how old you are, but it's normal to have a fear or concern about death to some extent, especially if you're young.

Read the book by Claire Weekes, "Pass Through Panic".

This book helped me immensely. I have not had panic attacks for over 10 years now, after applying his techniques.

It will explain to you why you have panic attacks and tell you what to do to get rid of them.

Most importantly, it will tell you that you are not crazy.

Are you sure that there was not a trigger? I started having panic attacks after I did almost die at the end of a pregnancy. My heart goes out to you because panic attacks are terrible and they do make you feel like you dieing. Also, people tend to be insensitive if they have never suffered a panic attack. Anyway, I'm not a physician so I can't say if there are any disorders or conditions that can cause anxiety and panic attacks. I would just keep working with your doctor. I'm sure that they will check for everything that could be related. Zoloft and Ativan are excellent medications. I've heard that Lexapro is also fantastic in dealing with panic attacks. Good Luck!

Your fine and hte atacks will soon stop.
Why fear dieing? Life doese'nt end here we just cross over

The ativan will definetely help the panic attacks...but be careful because it can be habit forming..
The doc sounds like she did what she could do for you...if all of your tests came back normal like you said they did, then I think you don't have anything to worry about...
You can go to a library or a bookstore and get a self help book on dealing with panic attacks..there are some tools that you can use as far as preventing them and what to do while you are having one...
Find out all that you can about your panic attacks...learn to identify the "triggers" and learn how to cope with them and you should be okay.

FIND INNER PEACE W/GOD TELL HIM WHAT U FEEL URE STRESS AND WORRIES AND DON`T WORRY ABOUT STUFF U CAN`T CONTROL AND THINK OF PEOPLE WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE THAN U AND U`LL SEE HOW LUCKY U ARE!!!!!GODSPEED TO U!!!

every body fears dying, but not al people have panic attackes u cant do any thing exept beliving in good and that dying is our fath in the end ,when god wants to take a life he takes it any time any when the why he want. so dont be afriad just live ur life .(make good things for ur end) when death comes it dont ask any one if he is afriad or not it just take so live and live and live ur life like every day is ur last day.

I think it's all in the mind.
It's normal to have a fear of death.
Stay on zoloft and see her frequently. If the pills are helping stay on it.
I hope you get better.
