What should i do? im very confused please help!?!
Question: live in the US but my heart has always been in Dominican Republic where i was born and raised.I have a lot of friends over here who are great but none of them are close enough that they call me to hang out...I want to move to Dr so bad because i have such a great life over there its not rich or abundant with money but im happy...My mom lives over there and she can help me with college over there...but my family up here want me to stay telling me that i can get a better education over here...what should i do???? Im so confused and i dont want to keep on living so sad and just daydreaming of what it will be like if i was in Dr...I dont know what to do im so sad over here and im suffering from a deppression i havent gone out since i graduated from high school and i feel like im the biggest loser..please someone help me!!

There is not a worse place on earth to live than in the USA right now, and all the hype about a better education is just that ....hype, Go home and live the good life where your children can be raised free
Live your life the way you want to and forget everyone else.

Well, how long have you been over here? If you have been over here just a short amount of time, I would say give it awhile and try your hardest to get involved with something. If you reach out to connect to somebody or something you will find a connection.
Going to college will help you meet people and find where you fit in....however, If you've been over here awhile and you don't plan on going to college and you're that miserable then go back, just make sure you give a fair chance so you don't miss a great opportunity.
Cutting yourself helps relieve stress.
On top of that, if you don't like America then why not leave. The USA will give you a better education, but if your mind isn't set because of depression or something then you obviously won't be paying much attention.
An education is a priceless investment. I assume you're going to/looking to go to college? It's not for the rest of your life- only 4 years. You can always return later, and you'll be able to live a more comfortable life with the salary from a job that you otherwise wouldn't have been able to get!
You aren't a loser and you certainly aren't alone! If it's a matter of life or death, then certainly just do what makes you happy.
Your answer is in the fact that you posted the question here. Your answer is in how you asked the question. You want to move to DR. You believe you'll be happier there. Your heart is there. You're depressed here.
Move and be happy. If life there isn't all you dreamed it would be, move back. Take a chance. Why be content with being miserable?
you're not a loser, you've been raised and you grew up in the dr, why woud you want to move and live anywhere else? It's quite a change to adjust to anyways. Maybe you're not even all about education anyways. Think about it, even if you do become educated in the U.S, you're probably going to move back to the dr and to your mom in the end anyways. It's up to you to decide whether you want to move there now, or after college or whatever. But it's obvious that you want to live there and go to college there, and if that's what your heart says, then do it.
USA is the BEST country in the world... but if DR is where you think you belong, then you should go for it! :)
Is there any way where you can ask your mom to discuss this over with your family? If you really do have to stay in the US, make the best out of your experience. Focus on your present moment and how to make it better.

well, you are in a tough situation. there are only two posible answers to this, 1- stay in the U.S. or 2- go to Dominican Republic. It is natural to feel homesick, but my only advice is to stay here a little longer and see if the U.S. grows on you. if it makes you happy, who is anyone to tell you you can see your family in D.R.
