What could be the cause of my all of a sudden insomnia?!


Question: I've never had trouble sleeping before. Just the past couple weeks I have had a really hard time going to sleep. I feel really tired during the day but then when night time comes I can't go to sleep.

Other than anxiety or stress from life events in general, another thing to consider: perhaps you're sick with something you're not consciously aware of? If your body temperature doesn't go down to the normal, lower night-time temperature when you're attempting to sleep, you'll have a heck of a time trying to sleep. There are several reasons why that may be, either an endocrine/hormone imbalance, or perhaps you're fighting off a low-grade infection and your body is heating up when you're attempting to rest, thereby causing you to not be able to fall asleep when you should.

Another cause of sleep issues that can come on fairly suddenly is a bout of depression, whatever the source.

Are you resting during the day time? If so that could very well be the problem. Sometimes if you are worried about something or you are stressed, insomnia will set in. you could try some relaxation techniques such as a nice hot bubble bath with some tranquility candles and soft music before lying down. It works for me when i cant get to sleep. Hope you get this taken care of .
