Insomnia question?!

Question: I have been a long term sufferer of insomnia. Up until about 3 months ago, it was debilitating to both my business and personal life. At that point, I discovered an unusual thing that made me sleep restfully all night. However, it is most strange. The sound of a vacuum cleaner humming, and slowly being rubbed over a carpet gave me the most wonderful night's sleep. I discovered this sleep remedy by accident when I was working nights and the cleaning crew would come into my office. I would doze off immediately when they started doing this. The problem is that I need the actual vacuum being used. Just the noise alone doesn't do it. I discovered this when I tried to play a CD of just vacuum noises, and then I just attempted to leave my vacuum running all night long. I'm just wondering if I could hire a maid service where all they would do is continuously vacuum my bedroom carpet while I sleep. Would that be feasible? Any other ideas??

It's white noise. You can buy a white noise generator that will do much the same thing as your vacuum but won't bother anyone else.

Also there are herbal things that you can do, and taking Melatonin can help promote a good restful sleep.

Rosemary tea at bedtime with a little honey is also good - about a half-teaspoon of dried rosemary leaves with boiling water - add honey & let it sit for about 10 mins. Enjoy.

If you need something a bit more potent check out Passionflower extract - sometimes called Passaflora.

listen to the album insomniac by enrique iglesias it would help you
i think

How about buying the Rumba (spelling), the little robot vacuum that runs automatically when its turned on - ought to be cheaper then maidservice with the same effect.

Try listening to a recording of a gentle rainfall/thunderstorm. That always does the trick for me.
