The best thing to do is keep a daily journal and after awhile you can see if there is a cycle. In the journal make sure you note what kinds of meds if any you are taking, were you are in you mentral cycle and daily activities. Also the best thing you can do is get some excersise weather that means just taking awalk around the block. Especial in the sunlight the vitamin d is extremely important for depresiong.

Keep a journal. If you get some help this helps the doctors dx you.!

Bipolar is a form of depression and is largely due to a chemical imbalance in your body's chemistry. Most people can treat it with prescribed medicines.

You don't have to endure this alone, and there are many people around you that are in the same boat. People who deal with depression often become some of the strongest people on the planet, because we frequently end up leading people through the darkness who have never been there before, and we regard it is a just another day in the darkness.

I recommend checking out the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill at www.nami.org. NAMI consists of people who have dealt with mental illness themselves (personally or with loved ones). In short, they speak from experience. If you live in the U.S., NAMI has local chapters throughout the country and they provide support to each other.

One of my friends is bipolar and leads one of the local NAMI chapters. I don't think she would turn you away if you asked her for help, and I expect that everybody else in the organization would react the same way, regardless of where you live.
