How do I get out of depression?!

Question: I am severly depressed, I recently asked out a girl who I really like and was rejected, I also have exams coming up and find myself caring less and less about everything. I barely eat, maybe a few hundred calories a day. Also sometimes, in the class that I am in with the girl that I like, I find it becoming so unbearable that I have to leave the class and walk outside for most of the period to clear my mind. Obviously my teacher does not approve of this and simply thinks that I am skipping. What should I do?

What you have to do is to realize that class is more important and chose a place to sit where you can not see the girl. This will help a little. What worked for me when I was going to school and hit a bad depression period, I would have to mentally force myself to study as long as I could and take extra breaks until I started to come out of it.

Talk to someone. Doesn't have to be a parent or teacher, but it helps to have the backup in case you start getting in trouble. Find a doctor/psychologist/counsellor who you can talk to - doesn't matter if you have to try several. Medication and exercise are the two big things that help, but you might want to try getting past the girl first (easier said than done, I know).
If you can talk to a parent or teacher, you don't have to tell them about the girl, try talking about the depression and school being too much to handle. You might be able to get somewhere by asking to study in the library instead.

You should talk to a counselor. I'm sure the school has some counselors on campus. Also, your parents' health plan probably covers you, and most health plans have mental health providers. You should be able to find a counselor that way.

If you're feeling suicidal, you should go to the emergency room. They'll perform a psychiatric evaluation and get you the help you need.

The one thing you shouldn't do is ignore this in the hope that it will go away or you'll just get better.

Good luck, and hang in there. Things will get better.

see your doctor a.s.a.p and maybe take your teacher aside and tell them in confiedence about your prob, ive been depressed and its not nice,
