Xanax is a highly addictive drug that is a real nightmare to be on, especially at higher doses and when used for a prolonged period. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Been there, done that.
There are many other less addictive drugs available. Some anti-depressants can relieve anxiety. If you are going to take anything at all, then I would highly recommend that you ask for something that is not addictive, or has little porential to become addicted to, or abused. And no, it is not difficult to get this drug. Sure, some doctors won't prescribe it very often, if at all. And when they do, its a very low dosage. But, there are plenty of doctors that who are ready and willing to write prescriptions for this drug. But, that depends on the doctor.
The bottome line is to avoid use of this drug at any dosage unless you have tried other medications and nothing else will work for you. A good thing to do is to try other ways of coping before attempting any medications. This can be individual therapy, group counseling, support groups - and so on. These methods are effective for many people.
Just my opinion...

its really hard to get a script for that Dr would rather put you on something like cymbalta valium & zanax are both addicting

See a Dr. Tell him everything that's been going on. He may try non medicinal treatments first. If those don't work then he may prescribe a less potent anti-anxiety med. He will work with you until something make a difference. Just remember to be honest with him. Good luck

See your Dr. and tell him what is going on. He prescribe you of Xanax (alarazolam) in a very small dose, He may put you on a anti-depressant as well, You're young to have this already so get to a Dr.
