Am I Bipolar or is something just wrong with me?!

Question: Alot of people told me that when I talk I have a low and normal voice then I get a loud and menacing type voice. Also some people say that I would be happy one minute then extremely angry over something the next Im extremely mad over something. (Usually someone makes me mad though). They also say that I get really withdrawn sometimes like I just be quiet. I never noticed that though. Also more of my closest people around me says that I could be extremely violent at points. They also say that I have an extremely short temper and is very irratable.

I never notice most of this stuff I always thought that I was normal.

There is a history of this in my family though and I am also 16 years old.

you may or, may not have bi-polar, however your issue needs to be addressed. make an apt. with a psychologist and go through the hoops of it all and figure out what it is. your so young, that you can get a hold of it now, before it gets worse.

Possibly, but more likely you are just an easily irritated person and all those other behaviors are your different reactions to the particular irritation. If you want to know for sure, write down the events of your day at the end of each day and see if any cycles emerge.

NO=Be concerned about labels at this young age. To many of them out there and others use them to their advantage. You will find a place in your life searches that will allow you to use all of your skills and attributes with compassion and caring. Stay in the moment and enjoy it. They pass so quickly.

Do manics know they're manics?? The answer is No.
If you have a history and you trust your friends, take their
advice and go see a psychiatrist. He/She can prescribe
lots of new drugs that really help...But please, please take
the drugs because in the long run, you will be sorry that you
didn't with a diagnosis of manic or bi-polar disease, and so
will everyone around you.....

well it can be a small cause of bi-polar but alsot ADD or ADHD in other cases in that your quiet at times and have short tempers well J lots of people experience these things.. but i do have a question are you taking any medication at the time if so whats it called? and getting angry easily from people making you angry i dont belive thats bi polar your just very sensative about your self and thats not a bad thing. but you can check up with a doctor just ask and he/she will give a test

To be on the safe side - there are medications that can allieviate this problem. I take prozac and wellbutrin and I am as happy as can be. If I don;t take them.....people definetily notice. Meds really do work. You probably have inherited these traits and if you see a doctor, he'll be able to "fix" you by putting you on the medication that can help.

Good luck - ya ya ya .... been there done that - you know the drill

If you've never notice yourself being extremely violent, then I would make an appointment with a psychiatrist. Hope it all works out fine!
