Has anyone ever got over anxiety and panic disorder.?!

Question: If so, How? I take Celexa and xanax.

Answers: If so, How? I take Celexa and xanax.

I have improved, but I still have anxiety and do not feel cured. I take Celexa, but have also tried many other medicines, some worked better than others, but none completely solved it. I think it is partly my personality though. I would love to find a cure though, it would make my life so much easier not to have to worry and stress all the time.

I am still living with it and learn to accept it. It is an everyday struggle but i am doing so much better when I accept that nothing is going to happen

No you will probably always have these conditions however with medications you can start to see the evidence dissapear over time. If the meds dont do much for you & your problems affact your life in a major way you should try for your disability benefits.

yes, i have GAD generalized anxiety disorder. I have tried celexa but did not work now i take lexapro 10 mg and it works great!!!!! i also take xanax for onset anxiety when i really need to... you dont get over anxiety i will be on lexapro for the rest of my life, but it is totaly worth it

It's very possible to get over anxiety disorders. However I don't recommend going of your medication as soon as you start feeling better. You can start having panic attacks all over again.

I got over it! The doctor gave me Xanax, but I never took them - too scared of the side effects. I just reduced the stress in my life, started doing yoga regularly and tried very hard to relax and not worry/stress so much. It took a few weeks, but the attacks stopped and I've been fine ever since. Your mind is a very powerful tool - Better than any drug. Good luck! Remember: Mind over matter!

I had OCD and Paranoia until I took Celexa, Zoloft , Effexor and Paxil. Now I am left with Emotional, Destructive Outbursts, High Anxiety with Panic Attacks and I still am Paranoid as bad as ever. A pretty decent trade off if you ask me. I would rather have anything other than OCD.

I took Lexapro the closest thing to making you feel normal and after awhile i stopped taking it and feel great. I still get a little anxiety but not like I used to. Xanax made me hallucinate and something you can become extremely addicted to.

i was diagnosed at 18 but once i became drugfree the attacks stopped drs say it mayve been drug induced panic disorders i quit taking medicine for it over a year ago ( i was diagnosed bipolar, panic disorder, borderline personality, clinical depression) and refuse meds now since i am drug free i am not endorsing being off meds i am just stating what worked for me before when attacks were at their worse i stopped breathing and went to er like 5 times once i even was paralized on left side for like 6 hrs with no physical reasons so just take meds as prescribed and try to go to something like klonopin or adavan if possible less addictive xanax or any benzo withdrawal can cause seizures

I never thought I would see the day I would. I think the key to a panic disorder is understanding why you have them. What causes them, and what triggers a panic attack. I would get them so bad I would think I was having a heart attack. I would get so rilied up I would be panicing over having a panic attack. ashamed to admit I have even been driven to the hospital on nemorious occasions because my friends thought I was going to give my self a heart attack. I finnaly realizied after years of counciling from phicisians, friends and family, I was just going through alot and needed time for my self and that this is my problem. Everyone has one. This is mine. I realized that I was looking for someone or something to blame for my panic attacks on and I was ignoring the real situation to what was causing them? what my panic attacks where really triggered by and I would start to laugh at my self and think this is what your doing to your body? Your killing your self? You Just need to take some serious time to your self, and ask your self what is wrong? Why are you so upset?

Anxiety disorder and panic attacks are not that uncommon. There are several treatments available... some involving medication and others that offer natural treatment.

Many suffers have found that treatments which depend on medication offer only temporary relief, weeks, months, etc - the period of which varies from user to user and depends on the actual medication used.

There are natural treatments which offer a lifetime solution. These are just two that I am familiar with.

The Panic Away Program - http://www.cureanxietydisorder.com/panic...

The Linden Method - http://www.cureanxietydisorder.com/linde...

Hope this helps...

I have. I had an advantage that I understood the underlying cause as being a perceived near death experience, but nontheless, you can get over it. I now treat people for it and get great results.

Something that almost no-one realises is that long term stress causes changes in the bodies biochemistry. A change in diet will often reduce anxiety to a point where panic attacks just stop. Sometimes it requires some intervention but we are clear on how that is done.
