Does lexapro make you act careless?!

Question: Do you mean careless like not worried about your own safety? Lexapro has many side effects, the most common is nausea, but it can also induce suicidal behavior. If you are acting reckless and endangering your life, then you need to let your perscriber know this.

If you mean careless as in apathy towards events or people, that is possible too. It is more likely from the condition that the Lexapro was prescribed for in the first place.

Lexapro works differently for different people. For me, it had the opposite effect of what it was supposed to. Paxil ended up being the drug of choice. But anti-anxiety/depression meds are only a short-cut to feeling better. Get therapy and get to the root of the problem and get off the brain drugs when you can. You should tell your doctor about this. These kind of drugs do kind of make you feel zombie-like and care less when maybe you should care, but acting careless - no, it's not supposed to do that.

LEXAPRO stole my libido:(

Lexapro had my legs shaking, & they STILL shake even though I don't take the pills anymore. & it reduced my sex drive.

Sounds like I don't want any of that...*wink*
I prefer to not take any kind of medicine just for all the reasons that everyone else listed
