Is something wrong with me...?!

Question: Lately, I've been feeling really low for very long periods of time. I've become apathetic about almost everything, and I can't even hardly eat around other people anymore (Idk why, I just feel very uncomfortable about it). Years ago, my mother was diagnosed with clinical depression. I have been told that the likelihood of getting depression increases if a family member has had it. Should I see a doctor or something about this?

Doctor, school nurse or counselor, even a teacher that you trust might point you to some trained person who could help you. Life is supposed to be good--and if it isn't, then, well, you need to find out why it isn't!

Yes, if its interferring with your life.

It does sound like you are depressed. You should go to a psychiatrist and get a firm diagnosis... these days, there are so many antidepressants that will make you feel much better! Depression is manageable and you can lead a very happy life.

Remember that you only have one life to live. Make it memorable! Good luck!

u sound depressed and have some anxiety problems. i would see a psychologist. it willl only help and there is obviously nothing to be ashamed about. plus you don't want to feel bad all the time i'm sure.
